Tsukiji fish market 築地市場, Asakusa 浅草, Akihabara 秋葉原

typical japanese neighbourhood

trying to have lunch at Tsukiji fish market 築地市場. the queue is horrible.

finally managed to get into one, for sushi and sashimi. damn nice.

off to Asakusa 浅草, at the main "street" to the temple. if u want cheap stuff, don't buy from this street. go wander off elsewhere.

sweet hot sake. nice on a cold day. so sweet, it is even drinkable for those who don't drink alcohol.

Asakusa shrine 浅草神社

Garden next to the shrine. There is an even nicer one, but it is closed.

Akihabara 秋葉原, the "sim lim square" of Tokyo.. except it is not a building.. it is a whole street....

where promotor dress up cosplay n give out phamplets.

lunch at a nice yakiniku 焼肉 place....

...and one of the things we ordered is Wagyu beef 和牛 (or kobe beef to some people)..... very very very nice... best christmas eve dinner ever..
