went 箱根町 to soak in onsen and see 富士山. had lunch in a very cozy little eatery.

very lucky today to have clear weather. i suspect the blue tint of the mountain is due to the uv reflected from the dust particles...

finally! i'm back!

touched down in the evening, and off we went to 上野 for shopping and makan. the sun set at 430pm, so daytime are very short.


raw oyster sushi... super nice... super cheap (S$2 only considering the damn high exchange rate now somemore).... i dont think i can get an equivalent in sg... *sad*

Bak Kut Teh

early morning went to eat at the infamous place. the one that turn away the governor of hong kong one. cos the night before saw this taiwanese show introduce the place. lol. so decided to come eat since very long never eat liao.


food is very good. but donno worth the price or not.. cos some other good place also almost as nice, but not as ex... lol

oh ya, after eating at the place hor, u'll smell a bit like just come out from bbq... cos of the charcoal smell. authentic. :p

popped by one of my favourite italian restaurant for dinner. still as nice as before.

went there for lunch.... one of my favourite stall.. other favourites are fish soup and "one ton" mee. but dont really feel like queueing for so long....

p.s. you know its a slow day when i post about hawker food. lol

Japan Hour made me spend money...

... was watching them eating horse mackerel, make me so gian. so was @ vivo when we decided to eat horse mackerel sashimi @ akashi. not verrrrry fresh, but still edible... lol

lesson learnt:
when u r eating 和食 in singapore.. don't ever look at the chef preparing especially if they are chinaman (but unless they are japanese), u will lose ur appetite.
when u r eating 和食 in japan, always look at the chef preparing. ur mouth will water.
