making our way to the imperial palace 皇居, which is only open twice a year.....




... and listen to the emperor gave his new year speech


was a bit disappointed because i was expecting nicer looking gardens... but at least caught sight of possibly the first cherry blossom in tokyo




made our way to お台場... end up didn't manage to finish the place cos its too cold and windy to walk much anymore at night

Happy New Year! and today is the day we try to do what most japanese do on new year day....

finally. winnie the pooh ride. everyone sit inside a honey pot and off we go!


this is one of the best rides there. actually should shoot video.. but then again, some things are best experience yourself rather than looking at video...


haunted house.... actually its the nightmare before christmas theme one...

its a small world after all... but while small, there are so many people.... definitely need 2 days instead of one.. cos 1/3 of your time is spent queueing...

went 築地市場 to squeeze with the people buying fish....


and eat fresh oyster for brunch...

rickshaw... seems to be a common sight here, most likely a tourist thingy... but i doubt he will be able to run so fast if i sit in it.
